Snake Removal

Snake control is a full-circle problem: food, water, shelter, and access. Currin looks at what may be attracting snakes to the property instead of only removing the snake that is visible that day.

Because snakes are predators, they are often present because of a food source such as rodents. Snake control can require rodent control, habitat modification, exclusion, and relocation when possible.

Rattlesnakes and copperheads are the two dangerous native venomous snakes most likely to be encountered in the DFW area, but many snakes Currin sees are non-venomous and simply in the wrong place.

If you see a snake, keep constant visual contact from a safe distance, keep pets away, and call Currin for removal guidance.

Currin does not recommend mothballs or sulfur for snake control. Mothballs can violate product labels and create health risks, while sulfur is not an effective snake deterrent. Better prevention comes from reducing clutter, maintaining lawns and vegetation, controlling food sources, and sealing practical entry points without blocking weep holes or ventilation that must function.
