Bat Control
Bat inspection, exclusion, entry-point sealing, and prevention.
Bat inspection and exclusion details
Bat calls often begin with sounds near a roofline, droppings below an opening, staining around a gap, or bats seen leaving the structure around dusk. Currin inspects the building to identify active and secondary entry points before recommending repairs.
Bat control is exclusion work, not a quick seal-up. Active exits need to be handled so bats can leave without being trapped inside, then the remaining gaps can be sealed to reduce repeat access.
Timing matters when a colony may include young bats that cannot yet fly. Currin plans exclusion around the activity found at the property and the applicable wildlife and public-health guidance.
If a bat has been inside a living space or may have contacted a person or pet, do not handle or release it before speaking with local animal control, the health department, or a medical professional about the possible exposure.
- Roofline, ridge, soffit, vent, and construction-gap inspection
- Active and secondary entry-point identification
- One-way exclusion when appropriate
- Sealing and prevention after bats have cleared the structure
- Seasonal and public-health considerations before work begins
