Why decontamination belongs in the plan

Wildlife that enters a home can urinate, defecate, nest, and leave odor in attic or hidden spaces. Removal solves the active animal problem, but it does not automatically clean the affected area.

That sequence matters. Sanitizing too early can leave the property open to repeat contamination if the access problem has not been corrected.

When insulation has to come out

Some contaminated insulation cannot be cleaned in place. In those cases, Currin may recommend insulation removal, sanitation, and then installation of new insulation.

This keeps the attic restoration sequence clear instead of covering contaminated material with new insulation.
